Beidler Forest

Beidler's boardwalk has officially reopened!

The swamp has missed you...

Our boardwalk has officially reopened, albeit with a few changes. Due to limited staffing, we will only be open Thursdays, Fridays, and occasional Saturdays 9:00AM-1:00PM, on a pre-registration only basis. Anyone wanting to visit, must purchase their tickets online at least a day before your visit; this will be the only way to purchase tickets and ensure that you will be able to go out on the boardwalk. While the boardwalk will be open, our visitor center will remain closed for the time being. We ask that anyone visiting continues peacticing social distancing and stays respectful by wearing a mask around other visitors.

For more information or to register for your visit today, please visit our pre-registration page.

Some of the birds we've been seeing from the boardwalk this week:

  • Barred Owl
  • Red-breasted Nuthatch (in the parking lot)
  • Blue-headed Vireo
  • Winter Wren
  • Eastern Phoebe
  • Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
  • Ruby-crowned Kinglet
  • Golden-crowned Kinglet
  • Hermit Thrush
