You’ll find Silver Bluff at 4542 Silver Bluff Road near Jackson, South Carolina. The nearest cities are Aiken, South Carolina and Augusta, Georgia. Directions from those cities and from other nearby areas are provided below. If you're coming from farther away, please use GPS.
Important note: some GPS systems tell you that you've arrived one mile before you actually reach the Silver Bluff gates. At that point, Silver Bluff Road transitions from a paved road to a well-maintained sand/clay road. Continue driving for one more mile and you'll see the gates on your right.
From Aiken, South Carolina:
Travel south out of Aiken on Highway 302 (Silver Bluff Road).
Continue on Silver Bluff Road, crossing Highway 278 and Highway 125 to Highway 5 (Old Jackson Highway).
Continue straight, crossing over Old Jackson Highway.
After 1.1 miles stop at a set of railroad tracks.
Look for train traffic, then continue straight on the paved road for approximately .4 miles.
At that point the paved road will turn to a sand/clay road.
Continue one mile on the dirt road to the Audubon gates on the right.
Parking is available on a grassy area to the right after driving through the gates.
From Augusta, Georgia:
Travel Highway 28 East (Sand Bar Ferry Road.), crossing over the Savannah River into Beech Island, South Carolina.
Immediately before the second traffic light in Beech Island, bear right onto Hwy 5 (Old Jackson Highway).
Travel 5.8 miles and turn right onto State Road 32 (Silver Bluff Road).
After 1.1 miles stop at a set of railroad tracks.
Look for train traffic, then continue straight on the paved road for approximately .4 miles.
At that point the paved road will turn to a sand/clay road.
Continue one mile on the dirt road to the Audubon gates on the right.
Parking is available on a grassy area to the right after driving through the gates.
From North Augusta, South Carolina:
Travel Highway 125 East (Atomic Highway) to Beech Island.
Continue on Hwy 125 through Beech Island to the junction with Highway 302 and State Rd. 32.
Turn right onto State Rd. 32 (Silver Bluff Road) and travel 1.8 miles to Highway 5 (Old Jackson Highway).
Continue straight, crossing over Old Jackson Highway.
After 1.1 miles stop at a set of railroad tracks.
Look for train traffic, then continue straight on the paved road for approximately .4 miles.
At that point the paved road will turn to a sand/clay road.
Continue one mile on the dirt road to the Audubon gates on the right.
Parking is available on a grassy area to the right after driving through the gates.
From New Ellenton or Barnwell, South Carolina (points east of Silver Bluff):
Travel Highway 278 West.
Turn left onto Highway 302 (Silver Bluff Road) and travel approximately 3 miles to Highway 125 (Atomic Highway).
Cross Highway 125 and travel 1.8 miles to Highway 5 (Old Jackson Highway).
Continue straight, crossing over Old Jackson Highway.
After 1.1 miles stop at a set of railroad tracks.
Look for train traffic, then continue straight on the paved road for approximately .4 miles.
At that point the paved road will turn to a sand/clay road.
Continue one mile on the dirt road to the Audubon gates on the right.
Parking is available on a grassy area to the right after driving through the gates.
