Audubon Center and Sanctuary at Francis Beidler Forest
336 Sanctuary Road, Harleyville, 29448
Our staff at Beidler Forest have been working hard to restore the fields on the edge of the swamp to grassland meadows and Longleaf Pine savannas. And better yet, to help visitors learn more about these restorations efforts - and the birds that benefit from them - a new series of trails are being constructed through these habitats.
We invite you to join us for an exclusive bird walk through these previously inaccessible areas of the sanctuary. Meet our friendly, welcoming staff at the Beidler Forest visitor center at 9:00am to check-in for this 2-3 hour program. Long pants and hiking boots are recommended. This program is best suited for ages 10 and up, and binoculars will be provided for use during the program. We hope to see you there!
