Beidler Forest

Hours & Admissions

Dear Beidler Forest Audubon Center and Audubon South Carolina supporters:

Given the steady increase in COVID-19 cases in South Carolina, we have decided against re-opening our Center and Boardwalk for the month of August. Given the size and layout of our visitor center and boardwalk, we feel it is necessary to remain closed to ensure the health and well-being of our staff, volunteers and visitors.

However, while the visitor center and boardwalk will remain closed, our staff are working hard to fast-track the opening of a new system of woodland trails near the entrance to the center! These trails will allow visitors to experience our Longleaf Pine and grassland restoration sites in a safe and socially-distant way.

Stay tuned for more information in the next few weeks about how to access these new trails!

We also invite you to visit our social media channels on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for updates and virtual education opportunities.

Otherwise, we will continue to monitor COVID-19 trends, and based on guidance from National Audubon, will target a re-opening once South Carolina experiences a two-week decline in reported cases, paired with guidance from local, state and federal officials. As always, wishing you health, happiness and great birding!
