Justin Stokes
Vice President and Executive Director of Audubon South Carolina

Justin most recently served as Audubon’s vice president of political affairs and executive director of the Audubon Action Fund. Prior to joining Audubon, Justin served six years as chief of staff in the United States House of Representatives working for four members of Congress, including from the South Carolina delegation. Justin also worked on a Republican presidential campaign and got his start in public service in the South Carolina Governor’s office. He is a native of Camden, South Carolina, a graduate of Clemson University, and recently completed the Wilson Fellowship in Strategic Management for Environmental Leadership at Harvard Business School. His ‘Spark Bird’ is the Hooded Merganser!

Timothy Boatright
Philanthropy Associate

A native of Savannah, GA, Tim obtained his undergraduate degree in wildlife ecology from the University of Georgia and went on to receive his master’s degree in environmental studies from the College of Charleston. Prior to joining Audubon, he worked as an outreach associate with the South Carolina Aquarium and the Lowcountry Land Trust. Tim’s hobbies include reading, yoga, trying new experiences, soapy/reality television and fitness.

Matt Johnson
Beidler Forest Center Director

 Matt is an expert in bird biology.  He manages many of our key projects, from remapping South Carolina’s Important Bird Areas to avian research. Matt, who has both a B.S. and master's degree from Clemson, also helps build bird-friendly communities, teach bird-friendly forestry, and lead bird walks around the state.
