(Meeting Location: 1208 Washington Place)
There’s a lot cooking in Columbia these days, including the future of renewable energy in South Carolina and the growing consequences of disposable plastics — issues that affect both human and avian well being. So please join Audubon South Carolina and the South Carolina Conservation Coalition for our annual Conservation Lobby Day at the South Carolina State House. You’ll learn about state conservation issues, ask your legislators to do the right thing, then kick back with your fellow citizen-lobbyists at an evening oyster roast.
We’ll spend the morning (10:00 - 12:00) learning how to talk with our elected officials, then put what we learn into action at the Statehouse (12:00 - 3:00). Staff from Audubon South Carolina and our conservation partners will guide you every step of the way. We’ll end the day with an oyster roast (5:30 - 8:00 pm, optional).
This event is free, but does require advanced registration. For more details, and to register, click here.
