Audubon South Carolina’s Pine Bluff Property (Dorchester County)
Wire Road, Dorchester, 29437
Often referred to as LBJ’s (“Lil’ Brown Jobs”), our sparrows are a diverse group of tricky-to-identify species that drive beginner birders crazy. They are, for the most part, various shades of brown and gray. Some inhabit South Carolina year-round, but many are only here in the winter. Audubon South Carolina’s newest property, Pine Bluff, is home to a variety of sparrows and other species. Please join us for an exploration of this new property and a beginner’s guide to learning sparrows as we celebrate the Great Backyard Bird Count. We’ll meet at Pine Bluff in upper Dorchester County at 9:00 a.m. and spend about two hours exploring this new property protected by Audubon South Carolina.
Once registered, you will be contacted by Audubon staff with detailed directions on where to meet. This program is FREE, but does required advanced registration. To register, click here.
