Hours of Operation:
The gates and trails at Silver Bluff are open Monday—Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Visitor Center hours fluctuate due to limited staffing. If you would like to volunteer at Silver Bluff to help meet our staffing needs, please call 803-471-0291.
From North Augusta & Augusta: From North Augusta, take Hwy 125 East to Beech Island. From Augusta, take Hwy 28 to Beech Island. Both continue on Hwy 125 through Beech Island. At the junction with Hwy 302, turn right onto Silver Bluff Road. Travel 3 miles on Silver Bluff Rd. until the pavement ends. Continue 1 mile on the dirt road to the Visitor Center.
From Aiken: Take Silver Bluff Road south towards the Savannah River (you will cross Hwys 278 and 125) until the pavement ends. Continue 1 mile on the dirt road to the Visitor Center.
From Charleston area: Take US 78 West and bear left at SC 781, west of Williston. Travel 4 miles, turn right onto US 278, towards Augusta. At the intersection of SC 302 (Silver Bluff Rd.), turn left and continue on Silver Bluff Rd. until the pavement ends. Continue 1 mile on the dirt road to the Visitor Center.
From Columbia: One option is to take Hwy 302 south towards and through Aiken. In Aiken, 302 becomes Silver Bluff Rd. Continue on Silver Bluff Rd. until the pavement ends, then 1 mile on the dirt road to the Visitor Center.
Another option is to take I-20 West to Exit 22 (US 1 South). Continue on US 1, which becomes York Street in Aiken. Follow York to South Boundary, turn right on South Boundary, then 1st left onto Whiskey Road. Follow Whiskey Rd. to a major intersection with Pine Log Rd. Turn right onto Pine Log Road, then left onto Silver Bluff Rd. Continue on Silver Bluff Rd. until the pavement ends, then 1 mile on the dirt road to the Visitor Center.
