Silver Bluff

The Silver Bluff Audubon Center partners with the University of South Carolina-Aiken’s Ruth Patrick Science Education Center and with Washington Savannah River Company to provide award-winning environmental education programs for schoolchildren of all ages. The Science and Technology Enrichment Program (STEP) conducted at Silver Bluff and the Savannah River Site engages students in hands-on lessons that stimulate critical thinking and which are state standards-based. This program has been proven to raise achievement test scoring among participating students.
