Community Outreach
Often, the staff at Beidler Forest is called upon to take our message of conservation and environmental education into our communities. If you find that you cannot bring your group to the swamp, then we'll bring the swamp to you!

SCHOOLS: While we prefer to educate in the beautiful swamp environment, we realize that today's schedules at our community schools may conflict with a visit to Beidler Forest. Accordingly, we offer a variety of educational programs for school groups. A slide show focusing on the ecology of Beidler Forest and wetlands in general can be presented.
GARDEN CLUBS: A naturalist from Beidler Forest will be more than happy to speak at your garden club meeting! Whether its informative talks on the flora of Beidler Forest, a quick lesson on our bird life, or a primer for your club's trip to the swamp, contact us and see what we can offer you!
CIVIC GROUPS: Civic groups are definitely on our list of people we'd like to speak to! Whether discussing local environmental issues, providing a way to introduce your members to a local attraction, or simply regaling your group with tales of Swamp Life, we're happy to be there!
CHURCH GROUPS: A talk by a Beidler Forest naturalist is a great way to get a peek at the wonder and joy of life in the swamp. Whether its for young or old, we'll tell you all about the beauty of nature and the ways your chuch can experience it. A follow-up trip to the swamp is the perfect fellowship opportunity.
